This is a notification about our plans for 2021 which will affect all web hosting accounts with us.

Firstly, we understand and are aware of some issues affecting uptime and reliability on parts of our original server network. Therefore, over the past few months we have been implementing, testing and monitoring a new server network. This network will allow us greater control and flexibility of the service we provide to you thus improving on the reliability of our infrastructure.

After some extensive testing, we can confirm that our new network is now up and running with benefits being seen instantly. Therefore, we feel that the time is now right to press ahead with our future growth plans.

Over the course of 2021 we will be carrying out a large number of migrations to ensure everyone will benefit from these changes as soon as possible. We encourage all clients to check their accounts and ensure their personal contact details, in particular email address, are correct and up to date. You can also update your email address at anytime in your Client Area. We will email you when your account has been migrated and to update your domain's nameservers immediately.

If you have a domain name registered with us also, we will update your nameservers for you. The migration can happen at anytime from NOW until the end of 2021. If you require a specific time and date for a migration to take place, just submit a ticket and we can get that booked for you.

It is important to note that a migration involves copying your account to the new server and therefore, your old account will remain active on the original server network. Therefore it is imperative that you update your domain's nameservers as soon as we notify you the migration has been completed as the old account can be removed at anytime.

We will also be starting with our UK and USA locations first, and migrating those accounts to the same locations as they are now but under our new network. All other locations will follow suit.

The new network is called MYNETNS and you will recognise this within the nameservers themselves, for example, ns1.mynetns.co.uk. This may differ for a select few accounts but we will confirm the new server details at the time the migration has been completed.

Currently, our Server Status page will not list our new servers however we are in the process of having this update to include our new network only. Once this has been established we will update you further. You can in the meantime visit mynetns.info where our new servers will be listed and monitored with live updates.

Actions you Should Take Now:

- Check that the email address registered with us is correct and working in your Client Area

- Let us know if you need a date and time booked for the migration

- If you are happy for the migration to take place anytime between now and the end of 2021, there is no action required from you at this time

- Once the migration has been completed, we will notify you via email to update your domain's nameservers. Make sure to check and fully test your website and emails during the first 24-48 hours of updating your nameservers.

Thank you for your patience and understanding with this. We understand that this may not be ideal and that the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" may spring to mind. However, prevention is far better than a cure. Once we have completed your migration, the chances of a future server move will be very low.

Insight:- We have been encouraged to progress forward with these changes in light of recent significant server outages affecting a small number of accounts and resulting in over 6 hours of downtime. We are sure that you will agree, this is not something that should be repeated.
